HON. JAMES TERLUMUN TOR

The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN is blessed with technocrats such as Hon. James Terlumun Tor, the current National Secretary.
This administrative tactician and corporate champion embodies distinctive leadership qualities that have robbed off on IPMAN, as he continues to discharge his duties meritoriously as Scribe.

Tor was born on 9 January 1959, in Gboko Local Govt Area of Benue state.

For a strong terrestrial relevance, he studied Accounting at the Benue State Polytechnic , Ugbokolo, after his elementary and post elementary studies.

A man with keen eyes on success, he began work as Hospital Accountant under the employ of NKTS Hospital, Mkar between 1992 and 1993 , before serving as Internal Auditor, Lagos Divisional Accountant, and Regional Sales Manager (North) in charge of Construction Business in the Nineteen Northern states, under Uni Petrol.

Hon.James Terlumun Tor became a member of IPMAN and has maintained various service or work positions viz;
IPMAN Chairman, NNPC/ PPMC Depot, Makurdi ; Special Adviser on Special Duties to former National President, Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo ; National Chief Whip; Chief of Staff to the former National President( Elder Chihedu Okoronkwo, before assuming position as the current National Secretary on 13, Dec, 2023.

Powerful industry player, he runs the following companies as his ways of contributing to nation building:
Sembat Energy Ltd, Teakon Nigeria Enterprises Ltd, Rockbase Engineering & Designs Ltd; Princess Haulage Ltd; Princess Collections Ltd ; Princess Properties Ltd and Apeidootor Agribusiness Ltd.

Hon.Tor’s passion for the political development of his country induced his political participation to become the Gboko Local Government Chairman of PDP, between 2011 and 2015: Benue State Vice Chairman , APC (2021) till date.

Hon. James Terlumun Tor is happily married, and has 5 children (four boys and a girl).
