He is no doubt a leader of men and outstanding manager of resources, with stellar feats.

This is the case of IPMAN’s unrelenting , unwavering go – getter, Chief Dr. Bestman P. Anekwe,

the National Leader /BOT Member of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN.

Born on 5th March, 1954 to the noble and God-fearing family of Chief Gabriel Anekwe,

He holds a tall reputation as the 5th President of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, IPMAN, a position he held between year 2000 and 2003. Currently, the Chairman of NIPCO PLC, a company incorporated by IPMAN during his tenure to engage in the distribution of Petroleum Products, Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) in Nigeria.

A devout Christian of the Catholic faith and a knight of St’ Mulumba (KSM), this man of benevolence is a philanthropist whose contributions in the Health Sector, especially for the Visually Impaired, has earned him recognition and continuous consideration from the Ebonyi State Government.

As Chairmans of NIPCO PLC, he has piloted the affairs of the company so meritoriously till its growth was tremendously boosted by the acquisition of Exxon Mobil Oil Corporations (60% stake in Mobil Oil Nigeria) ; as well as the purchase of Sheraton Hotel & Tower , Abuja ; Intercontinental Hotel Lagos etc.

(Dr) Bestman P. Anekwe has been the Chairman, NIPCO PLC with over two and half scores of experience in the nation’s Oil and Gas industry .

He is an astute businessman of repute and a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Sales Management

Prior to his appointment as Chairman of NIPCO PLC in 2004, he had a diversified business interest from construction to farming , and was Chairman, Abakaliki Farmers Cooperative Rice Mill (1989 – 1995) .

Chief Anekwe owns and Chairs Best Petroleum Nigeria Ltd .

He served Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) in various capacities , at both Depot Units and National levels. He was the Chairman of Enugu Depot unit, and elected National President of IPMAN.

As former IPMAN President, he played a frontline role in repositioning the Indigenous Petroleum Marketers to align with Federal Government Deregulation Initiative which eventually led to the emergence of NIPCO PLC from.rhe erstwhile IPMAN Petroleum Marketing Company (IPMCL).

He had served in several committees including the Inter Ministerial Committee on Deregulation of Oil Prices ; Ministerial Committee on Petroleum Products, under the Petroleum Products and Regulatory Agency (PPRRA) among others .

A philanthropist of note with several Chieftaincy Titles to appreciate his kind heartedness, Chief Bestman P. Anekwe is highly Revered both in his home state – Anambra and the Country at Large.

He is a Discerning ,Unassuming and Likeable person due to his kind Disposition at all times.In view of his immeasurable attainments in the Oil & Gas sector which have positively robbed off on the socio economic texture of Nigeria, there is no gainsaying that he remains a human resource still burning with passion and capacity to serve his father land at a higher level.

He is happily married to his wife, Lolo Beatrice Anekwe and blessed with eight (8) Children.
