ELDER CHINEDU OKORONKWO – PAST PRESIDENT, IPMAN

Born in Igwuruta in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State, South-South Nigeria, on October 10, 1964, he attended Central State School, Igwuruta for his primary education and Western Ahoada County, for his secondary school educational orientation.

He is the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Avina Industries Limited, an independent marketer domiciled in the Rivers State Capital, Port Harcourt, South – South Nigeria. He is a leading captain of industry and organized private sector.

An urbane man of all seasons, Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo, is a Name well known to key policymakers, managers, and top-notch executives not only within the Nigerian National Petroleum Co. Ltd, NPDC, NLNG, NAPIMS. NUPRC, NDMPRA, NMPPRA, etc, amongst others but in the entire value chain of the oil and gas industry.

He demonstrated immense associational leadership skills, robust experience, competences, diplomacy and knowledge-base as then National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN). He was equally a former National Legal Adviser of IPMAN.

Currently sitting on the Board of Trustees of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association {IPMAN} as its Treasurer. Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo, had been in the forefront of drumming up nationwide campaign drive on the conceptual need for the introduction of the Compressed Natural Gas {CNG}, three years before a great majority of Nigerians as well as the Federal Government, began to show interest in the scheme.

His sound knowledge-base, experience, competences and global contacts on the Compressed Natural Gas {CNG} was a criterion that led THIS DAY newspapers in December, 2022 to list and adjudge Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo amongst the MOVERS & SHAKERS OF THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY.

Elder Okoronkwo is married with Children and enjoys travelling as a hobby.
