National Treasurer

Alhaji Umar Babakano was born 44yrs ago, a young talented, and highly articulated young geologist turn businessman who obtained his first degree in geology and mining from the famous University of Maiduguri and later proceeded to F.U.T.Y and got his Master’s degree in business management and some managerial, marketing and conflict resolution courses within and outside Nigeria.

A Man who was brought up in the system is a Director in his parent company (ABK ALIYU & SONS LTD) since in the 80s and much later became the founder & pioneer chairman of OIL SHEIKH PETROCHEMICALS LTD & also the founder & CEO of AUBAJ RESOURCES & INV LTD all independent marketing companies with NNPC. He is on the board of so many companies which he joined or collectively founded with partners.

He was the S.A. Special Duties to IPMAN CHAIRMAN, YOLA DEPOT, CHIEF OF STAFF TO NAT. SECRETARY, S.A & PRINCIPAL SECRETARY TO THE NATIONAL PRESIDENT, NATIONAL LEGAL ADVISER, NATIONAL SECRETARY AND MEMBER OF NUMEROUS COMMITTEES not to mention but a few.

He is currently the National Treasurer.

Alhaji Umar is married with children and also likes reading, travelling, philanthropy & making friends.
